Whippoorwill Cottage is located on one of Brown County Indiana's highest elevations. Whippoorwill Cottage is a romantic, two room hideaway with the look and feel of an upscale country cottage. The native stone fireplace with easy to use gas logs dominates the sitting area and bedroom. Perfect for warding off evening's chill, the fireplace is visable from both the king size bed and the bay windowsitting area. The kitchenette, complete with coffeemaker, microwave and refrigerator, includes a cozy nook where morning coffee can be enjoyed. The whirlpool tub is situated by a large window, from which one may savor Hilltop's breathtaking views. Year round our resident deer family, as well as other four-legged creatures, can be seen wandering the wooded valleys and grassy slopes which comprise Hilltop's eleven acres. Hilltop is an ideal spot for a luxurious, relaxing getaway or an intimate special celegration. With breathtaking views and luxurious accommodations, when you visit hilltop, you won't be disappointed. In the early 1970's a music studio was constructed near Bean Blossom. It is remembered today as the location where the early "Let's go Krogering" jingle was recorded. The former recording studio has been transformed into Hilltop Cabin & Suites, a luxurious accommodation available for overnight rental. Its proximity to Bean Blossom makes it a popular overnight destination for visitors attending the Bill Monroe Blue Grass Festival or the Blues Fest, where you might hear that well known "lonesome whippoorwill" tune. The Little Nashville Opry, located just west of Nashville, features top country performers each weekend April through December. Views abound from the romantic upstairs bedroom to the kitchen where a picture window allows you to sip coffee while basking in a light-filled, endless view.
